We are like a family at GYC, and one of our family members, Michelle, is a breast cancer survivor. Therefore, in her honor, The Gourmet Yarn Co. is proud to announce it’s collaboration with Knitted Knockers! Knitted Knockers are special handmade breast prosthetics for women who have undergone mastectomies and other breast procedures.
To help make and distribute these prosthetics, the Gourmet Yarn Co. will host a charity knitting and crochet circle to make Knitted Knockers that is scheduled to meet the third Monday of each month from 10:30-12:30. There is no registration required and patterns and staff are always available. Gourmet Yarn Co. is also a drop-off location for completed Knockers, whether they are stuffed or not, please include a note that states the size of the knockers and the brand of yarn used.
If you want to get involved but have no experience with either knitting or crocheting, please visit gourmetyarnco.com for information regarding classes, or you can make a donation to knittedknockers.org!
The Gourmet Yarn Co. is excited to join the Knitted Knockers team and provide Knitted Knockers to women across Oklahoma!
For more information, please contact Michelle at Gourmet Yarn Co. (She works most Mondays.)
We will be closing early today at 3:30pm, due to severe weather.

We had a great time this past Saturday during the Yarn-In. I know several regretted having to miss because of graduations, Mother's Day, etc. As something different, GYC gave away several discount coupons as Mother's Day presents. Of course, no one had to be a mother to win one.
"Doe" is the newest color of Appalachian Baby's 100% Organic Cotton yarn to arrive at the shop. This sport weight yarn is a perfect compliment to the existing colors in the line. Each ball contains 130yds and retails for $8. Come by the store and get some for yourself today!
